Week Of Thanks~ A Lesson Learned

In honor of Thanksgiving I am doing a week of thanks. Today's topic is a lesson learned.

When I was younger I was not nearly as into family as I am now. In fact often times I would blow off family gatherings to spend time with friends. A very important lesson I have learned is that family is so important. More than family -life. Life is short and can often times be take for granted. So on this day after Thanksgiving I am giving thanks for my lesson learned- family.

  1. Like you, I kind of wish I'd been better about spending time with family in the past. I think we all go through that phase when we're young though. Beautiful pics! Glad you're not taking it for granted nowadays!

  2. Beautiful photos and family! I also had to learn that lesson in my youth and now I live so far from my family. It is tough, but I will see them in 3 weeks. yay!

    1. I know I will miss them if we do move away, but at least I know that we could visit with them and still have that bond. When I was younger I wasn't sure there would ever be that again.

  4. Such a great and important lesson. I wish I had learned it earlier. Even though I talked to my mom everyday, when she died I thought of all the times she had asked when I would come visit and I had been "too busy" to do it. I still regret it, and it's encourages me to spend more time with my family.

    1. I still walk a thin line with my mom sometimes, but I am glad to be a part of her life.. something that I wasn't when I was younger.
